They don't really seem angry though. It's as if they no longer have the ability to feel things (good or bad).
Then there are the scars next to their eye. One question is weather they put these there themselves in an attempt to feel things again, or if they were abused as a child.
Abuse (or perhaps bullying) could explain the almost dead looking eyes. This person could have been abused or bullied to the point that they no longer feel love.
The eyes are really what I think makes this picture interesting.
They seem like they could have an amazing story to tell us. At the same time though, they're not trusting eyes. If you want to learn the story behind these eyes, then you'll have to prove yourself worthy of hearing their sacred private knowledge.
That's just what I think.
